Current League of Legends Patch

26.17
Live version

Published on September 4, 2026 · Data Dragon build 16.17.1

The current League of Legends patch is 26.17. This page polls Riot's official data distribution servers (Data Dragon) every 15 minutes: as soon as a new version ships, the number above updates, champion base stats are diffed against the previous version, and a new archive page is generated — all without any manual intervention.

Why Data Dragon calls this patch 16.17

Two numbering schemes coexist. Since January 2025 Riot names live patches after the year: 26.17 is simply the 17th patch of 2026. Riot's data servers, however, were never migrated and still use the old season numbering, where season 16 means 2026 — so the files for patch 26.17 are published under the build number 16.17.1. Both refer to the exact same game version; this site reads the build number and always displays the live patch name.

What the detection triggers on this site

With every new patch, four things update on their own: the "data verified" band shown on every page, the modification dates sent to search engines, the champion-stat diff above, and a permanent archive page for the release. The MMR bands used by the MMR checker are recalibrated at every season change. The full approach is described on the methodology page.
